June Results + Announcement

Hi there! (: How have you all been?

The reason this blog post comes so late is that I've been away for a while and I also seem to have been postponing the inevitable... For June there was only one entry for the DNMT, which means that while there technically isn't a winner (no one to win against) I will be featuring the one and only design for the remaining days of July.

On this note, I regretfully announce that the DNMT will be closed indefinitely - that is, until I solve some of my own problems and figure out a way to restore popularity (maybe by coming up with more ideas for prizes); I am going to take this into serious consideration and try to come up with a good plan.

The monthly features are going to continue, however, and I am personally going to choose one of my favorite monthly submissions to feature on our homepage instead of the DNMT winner.

Well, this is it for now. :D

What is a Monthly Theme and how does it work?

A Monthly Theme is something we announce at the beginning of each month, according to which you can come up with a design/illustration/photograph to submit to our [link] (DesignersNexus Monthly Themes folder). One outstanding submission will be selected at the end of each month to be the main Feature on our homepage throughout the following month. Additional prizes may be included and may vary from month to month.

Rules & Regulations for participating:

:pointr: Please submit your entries to the [link] (DesignersNexus Monthly Themes Folder). Only deviations that 1) adhere to the current theme and 2) are submitted before the deadline will be accepted.

:pointr: Only one themed entry per member per month is allowed.

:pointr: Unless stated otherwise in the theme announcement, variations on a theme may not be included in the same deviation.

:pointr: Please include DNMT[name of month] (eg. DNMTMay) in the names of your themed submissions. This is to clarify the distinction between themes from different months, as all will be placed in the same folder.

:pointr: DN administrators are allowed to participate, but only unofficially. Their entries go into the one of the Admin Gallery folders and do not qualify for the member feature.

:pointr: If you want to suggest a theme, feel free to note me at: ~Rallya

:pointr: Monthly Themes challenges are not compulsory --- you don't have to participate if you don't want to. In the meantime you can still submit works to the other folders throughout the month.

Hi guys,

I wanted to submit my Polka Dot Collection to the collection folder, but it doesn't work. It says (when I try to submit it to the right folder) that my submission is awaiting the groups decision, but after closing the submitting window it's not even in my message inbox that I submitted it to the group. I don't get it. It works with other groups though. Just one more where it doesn't work - and I'm contributor there as well... I didn't know in which Admin Gallery I could fit it in. Maybe you could help me with that.

Ackk! ma work is decline, and i dun really understand. so... is it ok to tell me why eg. submit wrong category, not coloured, many flaws etc etc. so maybe i can improve :)
